Ticket Mouse

There is only one kind of mouse that I want in my house.

3:00 a.m. BF goes to the restroom. There is a slam against the wall. After that there is silence.

What on earth is going on? I worry that BF has fallen or is deathly ill. From the bathroom I hear, "Lauren?" Uh oh.

Something must be really wrong. It is now 3:15 a.m. and nothing good can happen that late.

"It appears that I'm in a standoff with a mouse," BF calls from behind the closed bathroom door. BF is trapped in the bathroom with a critter. The bathroom is small. The BF is brave.

We brainstorm through the door to figure out a solution. The little mouse is scared senseless and is probing for an exit and finally takes refuge between the toilet tank and the wall. Same place that I go when I'm spooked. Not really, that's gross and I'm far too large to fit.

We finally decide that a box is the way to go. Quickly (very quickly) I pass it through the door to BF. He grabs anything that we might need for the following morning and swiftly removes himself from the little mouse prison powder room.

The next day BF enters the bathroom to remove the mouse that should be in the box. But wait...there is no mouse to be found. Maybe he rode a frog to freedom?

God speed little ticket mouse. In the case you don't know what the Ticket Mouse is, I suggest you take a listen to Sportsradio on 1310 The Ticket. Ticket Mouse is one of my favorite characters to listen to but not to see in the house during the wee hours of the morning.

I couldn't stop laughing out loud while reading this. The actual images of what was happening made my cry. You are both very brave, in my book.
